KSS FX Series Flexible Link

Compact Design, Significant Advantages

In conventional linear motion systems, the motor and ball screw are typically connected using a separate coupling and bearing support. This arrangement requires additional installation space and increases the overall length of the actuator.

The KSS FX Series Flexible Link integrates the ball screw, bearing support, and an innovative coupling mechanism into a single compact assembly.

As a result, the required connection length can be reduced by more than 50% compared to conventional designs. At the same time, engineers retain the flexibility to combine different motors and ball screw configurations.

Key Technical Features

The FX Series offers several advantages for compact precision motion systems:

  • Motor compatibility: NEMA 10 servo motors and NEMA 11 stepper motors.
  • Maximum rotational speed: 3,000 rpm.
  • Maximum axial load: 80 N.
  • Ball screw options: Precision-ground or rolled ball screws.
  • Housing: Black anodized aluminium.
  • Space-saving design: More than 50% reduction in connection length.

The modular design also allows engineers to select ball screw configurations tailored to specific application requirements.

Ideal for Miniaturisation

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the FX Series is particularly suitable for applications where installation space, positioning accuracy, and design flexibility are critical.

Typical applications include medical equipment, laboratory automation, optical instruments, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and compact positioning systems.

For machine builders and design engineers, this technology offers new opportunities to develop smaller, lighter, and more efficiently integrated linear motion systems.

Choosing the right fan or blower

Many devices with electronic components deliver more power and have ever higher packing densities. Convection cooling is the most widely used solution, and the most cost-effective method, using air as a medium to dissipate heat by means of forced air movement.
Dynetics, with offices in Germany and the Netherlands, supports developers in selecting the most suitable product for their mechatronic task. For unit cooling without compromise, we have a wide range of axial-, radial, crossflow and centrifugal fans from leading manufacturers

At the upcoming PCIM trade fair, Dynetics will once again present its mechatronic products with Focus on its fans and blowers. Below we list some examples
