Compact linear servo motors and non-contact counterweight.

The new counterweight from NPM is called "gLESS", and is a non-contact solution that can be mounted very close to the shaft motor and maintains a constant balance at all times of the stroke. This creates a very compact unit for the Z-axis.

The gLess series is available in 3 sizes in diameter (Ø13; Ø18; Ø18mm), and covers force ranges of 2.66; 6.1 and 19.6N, with a working stroke of 40 mm. The gLESS components are designed as a non-contact solution and can be mounted very close to the shaft motor.

We have realized a reference design for the upcoming SPS-trade fair, to show the results of a compact and individual reproducible pipetting channels, enabling optimized throughput, and achieving a stroke of up to 40 mm.

The linear solution has almost no magnetic leakage fluxes, allowing a mutual distance of only 9 mm. To realize a further cost-effective design, this scaleless linear shaft motor eliminates the need for an external encoder.

Basically, the linear shaft motor is a high-precision direct drive motor, free of cogging torque and move without contact.

The linear motor consists of a shaft with permanent magnets and a forcer made of cylindrical coil windings.

There is no iron in the shaft or forcer, which ensures high precision cogging- and latch-free motors. Since the coil wraps completely around the magnets, the magnetic flux density is used effectively and rigid. The air gap is ring-shaped and not critical, securing no changes in force. This cylindrical design results in a linear motor generating 100% of its power in the direction of travel and at the same time dissipates heat.

No lubrication/adjustment required:

The linear servo motor and counterbalance don’t need to be lubricated, have no power losses due to wear/aging, resulting in a maintenance-free, long service life, contributing to a lifelong cost reduction.

Choosing the right fan or blower

Many devices with electronic components deliver more power and have ever higher packing densities. Convection cooling is the most widely used solution, and the most cost-effective method, using air as a medium to dissipate heat by means of forced air movement.
Dynetics, with offices in Germany and the Netherlands, supports developers in selecting the most suitable product for their mechatronic task. For unit cooling without compromise, we have a wide range of axial-, radial, crossflow and centrifugal fans from leading manufacturers

At the upcoming PCIM trade fair, Dynetics will once again present its mechatronic products with Focus on its fans and blowers. Below we list some examples
