Choosing the right fan or blower

Many devices with electronic components deliver more power and have ever higher packing densities. Convection cooling is the most widely used solution, and the most cost-effective method, using air as a medium to dissipate heat by means of forced air movement.

Viele Geräte mit Elektronikkomponenten bringen immer mehr Leistung und weisen immer höhere Packungsdichten auf. Die Konvektionskühlung ist die am weitesten verbreitete Lösung, und die preiswerteste Methode, wobei Luft als Medium genutzt wird bei der Abführung der Wärme mittels einer forcierten Luftbewegung. Die oft erhöhte Wärmeentwicklung Konvektionskühlung verlangt leistungsfähigere Lüfter, die allerdings auch immer leiser sein sollen.
