Nippon Pulse's family of Linear Shaft Motors are the next generation linear brushless motor. When reliability, zero maintenance, zero cogging and precision are paramount, the Linear Shaft Motors from Nippon Pulse are an ideal component choice, offering the user uncompromised performance, ease of use, compact package size and high value.

 

Because of its design, which uses the maximum amount of magnetic flux, is 100 times stiffer than comparable motors, crates no friction, and because of its ironless design creates no Eddy currents. Unlike competing motors, the Linear Shaft Motor is rated without the use of any type of heat sinking. Several competitors use 10” x 10” x 1” heat sinks attached to the motor to achieve the same electrical specifications as the Linear Shaft Motor without any heat sinking. In the image, after six hours and 360 cycles, there is little-to-no heat directed towards the workpoint (center of the image) and none emanating from the two motors. The motors are seen on the right and left edges of the image. The magnetic shaft runs north-south on the edges, while the two forcers are at 3:00 and 9:00 o’clock (black rectangles in between white).

Keys to Linear Shaft Motor Low Heat Generation/Impact:

  • Produces no Eddy currents
